The action-thriller movie "Master" was released in January 2021 in the Tamil language. The film was produced by Xavier Britto under the name XB Film Creators and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In addition to Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj playing supporting roles, the movie stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the key roles.

The protagonist of "Master" is a charismatic college professor named John Durairaj, also known as JD (Vijay), who is sent to teach for a month at a juvenile detention centre. Vijay Sethupathi's portrayal of the vicious criminal Bhavani, who runs the school, employs the kids in his illegal business. JD wants to curb Bhavani's nefarious activities while also reforming the kids.

The writing, directing, and acting of the film won praise from both reviewers and viewers. It was a financial success and one of Tamil cinema's all-time highest-grossing movies. Anirudh Ravichander wrote the soundtrack for the movie, and the listeners seemed to enjoy it.
